As the founding chapter of Progressive Black Men, Inc,  Florida State University (FSU) has continued to lead in continuing the legacy that was established in 1989. The Florida State chapter has sponsored many service projects in the Tallahassee community and participated with FSU Loves the Kids and their annual Dance Explosion competition.

The FSU Chapter gives out annual scholarships to deserving male high school students who plan on attending FSU. Past SGA Presidents, Black Student Union Presidents, SGA Senators and Presidents of various clubs and organizations hold membership with the Florida State University Chapter.
